Robert Bobby Duo no longer performing

Mr.Bobby's brain cancer has sadly caught up with him.  Our last duo performance was Dec. 2, 2017.  His last public performance was Jan. 6, 2018 when he and his old band, The Speedboys, were honored by being the very first band to be inducted into the new Lancaster Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Mr. Bobby and I would like to thank all our fans for supporting his music over the years. You have become like family to us. As you can imagine, this is a very difficult message to write.  Robert Bobby and I have been married almost 44 years.  I cannot imagine my life without him.  I also cannot bear the idea that his music will die with him.

Please continue to listen and share his songs.  If you are a performer and want to cover a song, please just let me know.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart !!!

Mrs Bobby

Chris, I was very saddened to learn of Joe's passing. He was one of the most memorable people I ever worked with, with his dry sense of humor and colorful stories, going to see clients in the Office of Aging days with him was never dull. I was struck by how much time he spent with his clients, how he listened to them and showed such kindness. This is also the man who once asked me when regarding my long, painted nails, if I could, well, never mind. SO much fun from his music and memories of those caseworker field visits. Deepest condolances.

I know I am too late to this board but thought of dropping few words after reading this post. It is very sad to hear the news that the Lancaster music community is mourning the loss of one of its own today. Joe Milsom, who long performed under the moniker Robert Bobby, is passed away. May his soul rest in peace. I feel very sorry because I didn't listen to his music till now. I didn't get an opportunity, after reading many posts about him I came to know that he is such a great performer. Don't know how I missed the music of him.
